Love At First Sight!

November 11 - 2006
We met Steve at his house in Clarinda. We even bought a new car so our new pup could ride home in comfort and style. We brought along Genvieve, my sister and Todd's parents, Wayne and Linda for support. Are we nuts? I suppose so. We had cold feet every now and then before our trip but once we were there, there were no more doubts, no more regrets. It was love at first sight. We had an awesome time hanging with Steve for a few hours playing with Koda's littermates, Glory (Koda's Mom), Rocco (Koda's Dad), Talon (another Sammie) and Kay (the sweetest of all Siberian Huskies). Check out our photo album from this day!

Welcome to our Blog on Koda, the Samoyed

November 1, 2006 - It was finally the right time. Having been mourning for our American Eskimo, Charlie, we finally decided it was time to welcome another pet into our family. After much research and visits to dog shows, we were down to two breeds. We excitedly waited for an Alaskan Malamute puppy but when that fell through (mama didn't get pregnant), Todd couldn't wait any longer and we gave Steve Kuehn, whom we met at the NKC Dog Show in Omaha and were thrilled he still had pups from his most recent litter. We were so deliriously excited and started picking names. So on November 11th, 2006, we were on our way to Clarinda, IA to meet our little boy, Koda.
Here he is at 10 weeks old.
